The “Ganny,” as the Narragansett Café is affectionately known to locals, has been providing live music and dancing to Jamestown, RI and the surrounding area for nearly three decades. The most popular bands in New England perform on Friday and Saturday nights. Sunday afternoon blues has become legendary. Every Sunday afternoon is packed with blues enthusiasts as the Ganny turns into one of the best Blues Hangouts on the East Coast.
We’ve received awards for Best Blues Hangout, by Rhode Island Monthly, and Best Sunday Blues, by Yankee Magazine, as well as Best Place For Live Music and Best Neighborhood Bar by Rhode Island Magazine for the last six years, and Best Trivia in Rhode Island for the last two years. The Ganny is the quintessential restaurant, cafe, pub, and nightclub all rolled into one.
Known for its outstanding pub fare as well as its music, the Ganny is a gathering place for lunch and dinner daily. Tuesday is Trivia night with prizes for groups and individuals. During the winter on the weekends, Sunday Blues, Bloodies and Brunch keep the Ganny a popular eatery, nightclub and dance club for a steady stream of regulars.
