Detroit Breakdown

Detroit Breakdown Blues Band personifies what Blues at the Ganny is all about. Their boogie-blues style keeps dancers outta their seats, and everybody else tappin’ their feet. This band brings a whole new meaning to the blues, with Paul Petit on vocals, blues harp, sax, and flute; Richard Jiacovelli on a screamin’ B-3 Hammond organ and piano; Scott Cloe on rockin’ guitar and vocals; Rich “Reggie” Roussel on bass and vocals; and Billy “Bam Bam” Donahue on drums.

Formed in September of 2008, Detroit Breakdown blends infectious grooves with a vast array of genres and artists that each band member interprets in his special way, leading to a common thread. Paul brings all of the old-school songs from the classic era, like “First I look at the Purse, Lookin’ for a Love, Homework, House Party, Musta’ Got Lost, Pack Fair and Square, Southside Shuffle, Whammer Jammer, and Hard Drivin’ Man.” Also, we included songs by artists like Gary Moore, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Cocker, Eric Clapton and The Allman Brother.

If a night of dancin’, partyin’ to classic rock, funk and blues is your thing — Do not miss this fabulous group. You’ll be clappin’ your hands, tappin’ your foot, poppin’ your fingers, and shakin’ whatever else you wanna shake from the first to the last note.
