This terrific band was named WINNER of the BEST COVER BAND in R.I. from The Phoenix! We were there to root them on and are very proud to have them back to the Gansett~!

The Smokin’ Toads is no stranger to the Cafe- for a very good reason- they ROCK! This Saturday, we are proud to present one of RI’s best bands and a Ganny favorite for the past 7 years, The SmokinToads. The SmokinToads is a talented and professional 4 piece rockin, party band consisting of: Joe Flori on bass guitar and vocals, Jim Pellitier on guitar and vocals, Russ (The Secret Weapon) Brissette on drums and vocals and Phil Pinault on guitar and guitar synthesizer.  The Toads have an awesome sound and absolutely the best vocals and harmonies around these parts. Their versatile song list of classic and new rock is full of surprises and will keep you dancing from the first song to the last. This new group, Here Again , was brought to my attention by a regular at the Cafe said they were waay talented and waaay fun and really know how to get the crowd ‘inspired’! We’ve been nice all year but we’ll pulling out all the stops and getting a little naughty with your favorite dance, rock and R&B tunes from ‘then til now’! Sounds fun,huh?

These guys truly ROCK! NASTY HABITS plays Classic Rock & Roll form the 60’s.70’s and 80’s with influences  from The Pretenders, Aretha Franklin, Bob Seagar. Bruce Springsteen, The Doors and many more!

Tony Longo, Mike Parrish, ‘Miss Vicky’ Regine ,Mike Lamanna,Steve Madeiros and Alan Patterson really do have a super ridiculous , wild and crazy time on the stage and get the room going like wild!  I have been personally afflicted by the ‘aura’ they personify! Their ability to get the Ganny going is LEGEND- great vocals,2 guitars, bass,harmonica drums and keyboards– ..See you on the dance floor!

Since 1995 New York Minute Band has played local venues like The Narragansett Cafe in Jamestown, RI; regionally, Dick’s Last Resort in Boston and The House of Blues on Sunset Strip in L.A. Also commercials and many special events. Band members are veteran performers of over 20 years. Billy Mitchell, (vocals, guitar, and harp) and Pat Smith (vocals, rhythm) sang with the a capella group, The Hudsons: David Furlong, (vocals, lead guitar) and Andy Webb (vocal, bass) were formerly with Three Legged Horse: John Lombardi (sax) and John Brough (drums) have been playing for years as well.

You never know who they will have as a special guest either!

This band is a blast,waaaay fun and truly up on the stage exuding ‘let’s just have a great time tonight aura’ .New York Minute’s trademark is versatility. From classic rock to R & B, blues, oldies, and popular music, shows are full of energy, strong harmonies, superior musicianship and fun. These guys always get the room going…Boogy on in for a fabuloso Friday night!

These guys have been playing the ‘Gansett’ for quite a few years and always get the place going- HUGE ENTHUSIASM, TONS OF FUN and RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF DANCING!

Uncle Chubby is a six piece band well renowned in the State of Rhode Island! Many of you had heard them play and keep asking me ‘When can you get Uncle Chubby Band at the Cafe?’ So.. ask and ye shall receive! I ama sure you will LOVE them!

Hope you all will join us for this NEW-ish addition to the Sunday Blues lineup.In case you missed them the last time they are baacck– We are in for a very special treat! ‘Tall Richard’ was introduced to us by a member of one of out most fun bands from Martha’s Vineyard, Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish

I have performed in Bo Diddley’s band and shared the stage with the likes of Bettye LaVette, Coco Montoya, Johnny Winter, Duke Robillard, Ronnie Earl, Doug James, Dave Maxwell, Johnny Copeland, Sonny Rhodes, Joe Murphy, Johnny Hoy, Racky Thomas, Professor Harp, Rock Bottom, and many others.”
