The Ken Vario Quartet is a jazz quartet that plays a very “listenable” form of jazz sprinkled with some blues, pop and Motown tunes with a jazz flavor. The band plays a mix of Jazz standards (Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard, Cannonball Adderley), light Pop-Jazz (Norah Jones, Chuck Mangione), and some blues-based Jazz (Red Prysock, Grover Washington)The band members are Tom Pasquarelli on guitar, Jay Pavao (of The Rock) on upright bass/ vocals, Tom Peterutti (of Brass Attack fame) on drums and Ken Vario on trumpet/ flugelhorn & vocals.

The ‘Hounds’ play it all, from Aretha to Zepplin to Stevie Wonder as well as Beatles,Aretha Franklin, Susan Tedeschi, Bonnie Raitt. The Hounds sing sultry Blues to Boogie Woogie to Pop favorites. Every time these guys come into the Cafe the place is boogying with tons of dancing and lots of familiar favorite tunes with their own special twists.. Great musicians,great vocals. A fabulous way to kick into the weekend~TALENT!

WE are sooo fortunate they will be celebrating their big anniversary at the Narragansett Cafe tonight!
Sooo, get there early to find a place on the dance floor for this rockin’ fun filled night of great tunes and tons of energy and reminiscing and looking forward to the next 10! Go TOADS!
This terrific band was named WINNER of the BEST COVER BAND in R.I. from The Phoenix! We were there to root them on and are very proud to have them back to the Gansett~!
The Smokin’ Toads is no stranger to the Cafe- for a very good reason- they ROCK! This Saturday, we are proud to present one of RI’s best bands and a Ganny favorite for the past 7 years, The SmokinToads. The Smokin Toads is a talented and professional 4 piece rockin, party band consisting of: Joe Flori on bass guitar and vocals, Jim Pellitier on guitar and vocals, Russ (The Secret Weapon) Brissette on drums and vocals and Phil Pinault on guitar and guitar synthesizer. The Toads have an awesome sound and absolutely the best vocals and harmonies around these parts. Their versatile song list of classic and new rock is full of surprises and will keep you dancing from the first song to the last. (Definitely not your tired and overplayed song list.) Expect songs by: Journey, Bon Jovi, Queen, The Foo Fighters, The Guess Who, The Outfield and The Eagles to name a few.Joe, Jim and Russ cover an incredible range of vocals and harmonies and Phil’s guitar and guitar synthesizer work enables The SmokinToads to cover songs that other 4 piece bands would not attempt and they always nail it, just like the original recording

Talk about raw talent. This re- formed group of fantastic musicians is an amazing addition to the RI music scene. They have been rocking the houses across the state and beyond . We LOVE having these guys to the Narragansett Cafe and know you will all be awed and entertained to the max! Dave, Neal ,Steve and Mike form The Vipers .
This will be one of those shows ‘not to be missed’ if you want to rock out,get down and bluesy dirty and be shown an amazing performance. They are incredibly ‘tight’ and love putting on a great show.
Soooooo, come on in Sunday afternoon for a fabulously great time!
