It may surprise some, but Rhode Island has a great history of the Blues, probably starting in 1967 with Duke Robuilliard and his band Roomful of Blues. More than 50 musicians have played with the group, and many of them are still playing around the state, often finding their way into the Gansett.
So we’ve asked a number of our regular musicians to put together 3 or 4 piece groups and play for a few hours on Sundays . Every type of Blues will be on offer as well as basic R&B.. We look forward to seeing everybody.
